Nielsen Park has five superb venues on it’s picturesque grounds fronting the harbour. There is something for everyone in these wonderfully individual and unique venues.

The Beach House is home to the rejuvenated Restaurant and Café; The White Pavilion, historically known as The Halbert Pavilion, is nestled in the lawns and is perfect for receptions and functions; The Surf Club is situated right on the beach and, with its wonderful views and unique style, is a beautiful venue for dinner or cocktails; The Dressing Shed and The Sand Cellar offer a truly one of a kind setting for a special dinner or cocktail event.

The Beach House:
Formerly the old Kiosk, built in 1914, this magnificent, heritage building is now home to the rejuvenated Nielsen Park Restaurant and Café.

The Restaurant and Café have been given a new lease on life with a new interior look courtesy of designer Victoria Alexander which combines handicraft inspired soft furnishings with elegant table settings to highlight the unique atmosphere of beachside dining with the natural beauty of the park surrounds.

Nielsen Park Café and Restaurant is fully licensed with signature menus featuring fresh, seasonal produce and sophisticated yet value for money dishes. Expect to find a wealth of locally sourced ingredients and flavours featuring on each menu throughout the year, complimented with a selection of boutique wines.

The Café reflects the scenic tranquility of its fabulous location and offers seriously good coffee, newspapers, breakfast with a view and a great selection of light food.

The Café is open from 8am, 7 days a week. The restaurant is open for lunch Saturdays and Sundays and dinners Fridays and Saturdays (subject to seasonal confirmation).  Full gourmet breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays.

The venue has a capacity for 100 people seated, 250 for cocktails and outdoor seating for 25.

The White Pavilion:
Historically known as The Halbert Pavilion, this wonderful venue is surrounded by over 10 hectares of rolling gardens and set amongst the majestic Moreton Bay Figs. This recently renovated venue is the ideal location for your wedding or special event.

Very popular for its natural charm and character, this space is an open plan room with polished wooden floors and floor to ceiling french doors along the eastern face, opening to a broad open deck. High, beamed ceilings and windows all around supply plenty of natural light and incredible views.

The White Pavilion can hold 140 seated, 250+ for cocktails and 200+ for seminars.

The Surf Club:
The Surf Club is a timeless classic that would be equally at home on the Italian Riviera, the south of France, or a Polynesian Island. Nestled on the easternmost end of beautiful Shark Beach, the former Beach Kiosk is one of those icons of Australian beach/harbourside culture.

Formerly the Lifesaving Club, the Surf Club has been transformed into a classic and beautiful venue. Views from the balcony sweep from the city skyline right around to Manly and the gentle lapping of waves onto the beach is a superb backdrop for any event.

Perfect for a stand up cocktail party for 40 or a stunning dinner for 14+, this landmark piece of vintage Australiana is a truly original and unique landmark.

The Dressing Shed & The Sand Cellar:
For a unique, open-air experience, the classic vintage Dressing Shed is a perfect venue. Oozing colonial charm, this original whitewashed wooden venue encloses a wonderful area with the green canopies of the Moreton Bay Figs soaring overhead. Perfect for a large cocktail event or dinner, the space is a blank canvas. The professional team at Nielsen Park can transform this wonderful old landmark space into the event of a lifetime.

Just outside the Dressing Shed, connecting to the sand of Shark Beach is the Sand Cellar, a gorgeous tunnel with high, curved ceiling. It is a beautiful vantage point from which to admire the harbour while enjoying a dinner, rain or shine. The team at Nielsen Park can set a long, magnificent table in one of the most special and uniquely different venues that Sydney has to offer.

Venues can cater for 140+ seated, 300+ for cocktails.
